He graduated suma cum laude, in 2003, from Centenary College of Louisiana. He was a 4 year lettermen and captain of the Division I men's basketball team. Upon graduation, he earned degrees in both biochemistry and business administration. Brien completed his Doctorate of Medicine at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. After completion of medical school, he traveled to Texas, completing his Orthopaedic Surgical residency at Texas Tech University in 2012. During his training, he was awarded the Shannon Holloway Resident Research Award. Dr. Rabenhorst went on to complete a fellowship in pediatric orthopaedics and scoliosis surgery at The Children's Hospital of Colorado in 2013.He specializes in musculoskeletal abnormalities in children. Dr. Rabenhorst has a special interest in scoliosis, trauma, neuromuscular diseases in children, hip disorders as well as clubfoot deformity.
